Canada-Mathare Trust (CME Trust) works to advance education in Kenya, one student at a time, by providing secondary school scholarships to students in Mathare Valley slum, Nairobi. They also work to raise awareness in Canada about urban poverty and education in Kenya.

The Academy Choir is also proud to support and partner with the Youth Services Bureau (YSB) of Ottawa, which is one of the largest and most comprehensive non profit agencies serving youth in this community. In addition to performances by Ottawa's Academy Choir, special guests of this event include: Suzan Lavertu & The Cultural Arts Dancers, Stefan Keyes (from CTV), The Youth Services Bureau, and more.
