Independent Filmmakers Co-operative of Ottawa Filmmaking Workshop for Women. As part of our summer workshops IFCO has a 16mm Filmmaking for Women Workshop. Registration Deadline: August 16, 2019. Only 6 spots available! This weekend course introduces women of all ages and backgrounds to the art of 16mm filmmaking, and is open to women from all walks of life, who wish to make films in their own voices, in a dynamic, supportive and open-minded environment. This course is suitable for all levels of experience (novices, learners with minimal experience, and intermediate filmmakers). Over one weekend, participants will meet at IFCO to learn various practical elements of filmmaking, including how to use a 16mm film camera, lighting techniques, editing on flatbeds and Adobe Premiere Pro. If you know of any persons that may be interested in this workshop, please let them know about this wonderful opportunity. We also have a grant writing workshop on September 10th.
