Wise Atangana live at National Arts Center/ En spectacle au CNA
Wise Atangana is an Ottawa based artist, originally from Cameroon in central Africa. His music is catchy, inspiring and motivating. His musical style is influenced by AfroBeat, poetry and hip-hop / rap. Wise Atangana is a force; he animates, motivates, inspires and educates his audience. Rhymes in song, poetry and rap flood the fiery vibrations of the prolific world of the artist. Wise was inspired by an old African legend to realize this project. The story is about the traditional storyteller who roamed the villages with his drum, his guitar and his words to reflect the peasants who wanted to improve their living conditions.

Mdou Moctar immediately stands out as one of the most innovative artists in contemporary Saharan music. His unconventional interpretations of Tuareg guitar and have pushed him to the forefront of a crowded scene. Back home, he's celebrated for his original compositions and verbose poetry, an original creator in a genre defined by cover bands. In the exterior, where Saharan rock has become one of the continents biggest musical exports, he's earned a name for himself with his guitar moves. Mdou shreds with a relentless and frenetic energy that puts his contemporaries to shame.
