The Walk With Excellence is an urban Rite of Passage event that originated in Toronto as a result of the community leadership from A Different Booklist Cultural Centre and their community partners. It is their vision that inspired us here in Ottawa.
In a symbolic gesture that represents the importance of education to Black communities, the #BeMoreCommUNITY of 3Dreads and a Baldhead and community partners invite you to come Walk With Excellence. The Class of 2019 Black graduates of the Ottawa-Gatineau region and community members are invited to come “walk together” toward this group's educational dreams. In addition, this year we will be awarding the first Michelle Walker Scholarship to one of our HS graduate 'walkers' in the memory and spirit of our sister friend. For more information about the Walk With Excellence and to nominate someone for the Michelle Walker Scholarship - [email protected] FREE ADMISSION, but please register on eventbrite.
