PROJECTION DE FILM: « L’affaire Chebaya, un crime d’État? ». FILM: Carleton University's Institute of African Studies and the Film Studies program present: A screening of Robert Mugabe ... What Happened? and discussion with director, Simon Bright. Billed as the definitive account of Robert Mugabe’s life, from director Simon Bright, comes Robert Mugabe... What Happened? - a film that had its World Premiere as the Opening Night film of the Encounters South Africa International Documentary Festival in Cape Town. The film is said to dramatically illustrate Mugabe's successful liberation and development of the country (Zimbabwe) but also his ruthless and cunning retention of power at all costs. For the film, several people were interviewed, including Trevor Ncube, Geoff Nyarota, Lovemore Maduku, Simba Makoni and the recently deceased Edgar Tekere in what was sadly his last ever interview. Watch the screening of the film and stay for a Q and A with the Zimbabwean director, Simon Bright. FREE admission and open to the public. For a trailer, please go to: http://vimeo.com/24822228
