Advocating for Your Child Against Discrimination in Schools. In partnership, Parents for Diversity and Amy Wellings invite you to join us for our interactive workshop where we will work with you to help you understand:
- the different types of discrimination including gender identity, race, religion, sexual orientation, disability
- the negative impact of discrimination on all children
- human rights laws and policies to address discrimination
- tools and resources for parents to advocate for their children in the school when they experience discrimination
You will have an opportunity to meet with and learn from other parents who are facing similar challenges, share your feedback and ideas with OCDSB Trustee Candidate for Barrhaven-Knoxdale on how we can work together to make positive change in our school board.
